Why Prosperl CPA

Our team focuses specifically on proactive tax strategy for W-2 earners, business owners and real estate investors — not general bookkeeping or once-a-year filing.

Licensed CPA-led planning team

Every strategy is reviewed by a credentialed CPA before it's recommended to a client.

Specialized in proactive strategy

We focus on entity structure, timing and investment planning — the decisions made before you file, not just the filing itself.

Works with U.S. and cross-border situations

Our team has supported clients on domestic and cross-border business structuring and expat tax questions.

A documented, repeatable process

Every engagement follows the same review, strategy and implementation process, so you know what to expect.

Question

How Do We Create Tax Savings?

We build a tax plan around your situation, considering your entity structure, income and investment activity, timing, depreciation, retirement accounts, and charitable giving. The right combination depends on your goals and how these decisions affect one another.

01

Question

How is Tax Planning Different from Tax Preparation?

Tax preparation reports what already happened and determines what you owe. Tax planning looks ahead at decisions you can make now to reduce taxes in the current and future years, leaving more to reinvest toward your goals.

01

Question

Why Hasn’t My CPA Taught Me How to Save on Taxes?

Many CPAs focus on preparing an accurate, compliant return. That work matters, but reducing future taxes takes an additional step: identifying tax incentives and planning opportunities before decisions are final.

01

Question

What if I Don’t Have the Capital to Invest Into These Strategies?

We first look at whether money you already spend can be redirected toward tax saving strategies. For W-2 earners, once a suitable plan is in place, adjusting paycheck withholding to reflect expected tax savings may free up cash to help fund it.

01

Question

How is Prosperl different from a real estate tax strategist?

We combine real estate tax planning, such as cost segregation, 1031 exchanges, and capital gains planning, with other strategies for high income earners. When real estate alone does not address your tax needs, we may also consider tax credits, tax advantaged investments, charitable giving structures, and entity planning.

01

Question

Do We Do Tax Preparation for Our Clients?

Yes. We prepare our clients’ returns so the planning strategy is reflected accurately and compliantly when they file. Handling both lets us consider available tax elections and the full implications of the plan.

01

Question

Is tax preparation included in planning fees?

No. Tax preparation is billed separately unless your agreement specifically includes the returns and tax years to be prepared. We bill 50% to start the return and the remaining 50% after completion, with any adjustments for changes in the scope of work.

01

Question

Will We Need You for Tax Preparation?

It depends on your filing needs and timing. We recommend using Prosperl once our strategies have been implemented so they are reported correctly. If your current CPA has already started your return or you join us late in filing season, you may finish with them and transition the following year.
